Products and Companies I Don't Recommend

This page will be used to give my opinion and what and why you shouldn't buy these products or deal with these companies.


Western Digital Hard Disks.  For the past 20 years I have been repairing and supplying Computers to many Customers and Clients.  In that time, the number of faulty hard disks I have had to replace of the Western Digital Brand are in the middle one hundreds and considering the fact that I have never sold a computer with a Western Digital Hard disk in it compared with Seagate who I normally use and count the failures to be less than ten, must be good enough reason not to purchase them or to buy a computer which has one fitted.

Samsung and Lexmark products.  I stopped buying from these companies when I found out that if I purchased one of there products and subsequently it went faulty it would be replaced with a second hand product which could be up to a year old.  When I received a Samsung Monitor and later a Lexmark printer found to be faulty straight when taken out of the box and was informed this was the policy I stopped buying them.  I have never purchased a Lexmark product since and only purchase CD/DVD roms or re-writers if they are the only ones available at the time.
